Centuries ago, some trained falcons, verbal messengers and gossips were the main dispersal of information. The concept of media has been existing but not explored formally like we experience today. Now, in the 21st century, media has taken its shape in many different forms; television, newspapers, magazine, radio stations, blogger sites and online forums. It has been the guard for the world in terms of nature, human interventions, politics and religion. However, with evolution, media focused much on the affluent and celebrities besides its main function as ‘watch dogs’.

Media can make great impact on the society. It can build or destroy societies and government. However, modern media, delving into the personal life and hacking the privacy of the celebrities has become a major part of their profession. It’s not unusual if New York Times report about Charles sheen’s (Famous American film and television actor) tattoo on his wrist and Britney Spears(famous singer) bald headed picture making headlines. Google can display millions of result if we search for any one of the celebrities or public figures more than any other information. Radio stations and news stand will be busy reporting about the famous footballeror cricketer’s new girl friend and their ankle sprain.
If we go to any book store, we would find more of glamour and fashion magazines than any other magazines. Moreover, there are curious cameras ready to capture each and every move of the celebrities, invading their privacy, and eating away their social and personal moments. In many cases relationships among the celebrities are dictated by the words of media, most of which are false rumors but have enough vigor to poison the minds of people and strain the relationships between the celebrities. Therefore many facts of the poor people go unheard, while even the gossips of the superstars are being printed of no use.
Although Media has performed its duty in terms of free speech and right to information to some extent, there are little priorities to be cut shot. Just a frequent display of the marriage and divorce cases of the celebrities can make our younger generation think, ‘it is the way of life’.
ITS NOT A MATTER OF CHOICE, ITS MATTER OF PRIORITY THAT WE CAN CHANGE...................I FEEL!
